Overtraining Your Penis

Overtraining is possibly the biggest psychological trap you need to avoid if you’re going to succeed with natural penis enlargement – whether that means you opt for exercise or take the ‘easy’ route of using traction. At best, you’ll stunt your growth, whilst at worst you’ll halt the growth process entirely. Chronic overtraining can even lead to injury – ranging from minor bruising, swelling (the bad kind) and soreness at one end of the spectrum to vein thrombosis, nerve damage and penile fractures at the extreme. This may sound alarmist (and to a degree it is, because you’d experience multiple warning signs beforehand) but the point I’m trying to make is that you should always be on guard against this development killer.
People tend to fall into the overtraining trap for one of two reasons – either due to frustration (because of lack of progress) or over enthusiasm (either when just starting out or through excitement when gains start appearing). That sounds like quite a broad emotional spectrum doesn’t it? And that’s exactly why overtraining is such an easy trap to fall into.
The science of exercise (including exercising the penis) is simple – tissue will only respond positively to a specific amount of stress (which I tend to refer to as ‘optimum stimuli’). The use of traction or exercise past the point of optimum stimuli and the penile tissues will have difficulty simply repairing, never mind growing.
Ask any bodybuilder and they’ll tell you it’s a fine line between under or over training, but given the choice, the intelligent option is always to train too little as opposed to too much – and this rule applies equally to your penis (maybe even more so due to the obvious delicacy of the penile tissues).
How To Avoid Penile Overtraining...
There’s a simple rule of thumb to follow to prevent yourself falling into the above psychological overtraining traps: if your penile workout is delivering results stick with it until it stops working; conversely, if it’s not working, don’t assume it’s not working because you’re not doing enough. There could be a multitude of reasons why you’re not seeing the results that you expected for your efforts (e.g. poor technique application, exercising at the wrong intensity, unbalanced workout routines etc.) and doing more of the same is unlikely to get to the root of the problem.
But of course, to realise when you’re workouts are bordering on over training you also have to have a firm grasp of what you’re doing to start with. This is why it’s absolutely vital that in the early stages you should focus your attention on learning how to effectively apply your new found techniques and how to correctly implement them into a well structured routine. Particularly as a beginner, never fall into the usual mistakes of focusing on just a couple of high intensity exercises or launching into a 12 hour per day 2.8kg penile stretching routine. Going at your goals like a bull at a gate will undoubtedly result in overtraining and a very sore penis.
Signs & Symptoms...
In addition to carefully following a time-tested pre-planned workout routine, also listen to your body for the obvious warning signs of overtraining. Initial symptoms often include:
- Sore penile skin or general discomfort when performing exercises.
- Bruising or skin discolouration on the shaft
- Tiny red spots on the glans (caused by little ruptured capillaries)
- Numbing around the penile head
- Reduced intensity / frequency of erections
If you experience any off the above, don’t worry because you won’t have done any permanent damage, but do let your penis fully recover before you continue (even if it takes a week or two for symptoms to fully disappear). Exercising ‘through’ such problems won’t help you to enlarge your penis any faster, but it will set you up for serious injury.
The Bottom Line...
Your penis will only respond to your efforts in its own casual time. Trying to rush the little fella into growth through overtraining isn’t just a waste of time and effort, it’s also potentially dangerous. To succeed with PE it's vital to stay patient, stay focused, take your time to learn what you’re doing and then intelligently apply what you’ve learned. By doing so, not only will you avoid overtraining the little fella but you’ll also start to realise those all important gains.
